Customer Reviews

Below reviews are top positive/negative opinion written by customers who bought the products from marketplaces.

Top Positive Reviews

  • With help from nebula customer support, (who are quite pleasant and consistently responsive at least within a 24 hour period, obviously due to time differences) i also tried out the beta integration of google play services, which lets you use the google play store (not terribly useful) and, more importantly, log in to youtube.
  • It’s not the brightest or 1080, but it seems like it would be great for simple, fun family use.
  • For a mini battery powered projector 720p and the brightness are fine, really the brightness is pretty good.
  • Lastly the app, while it’s easy to set up, the cursor movement delay is definitely not user friendly at all, i rather use the remote even tho on netflix, if u use remote to select shows, it doesn’t highlight it or nothing, so u can only guess by pressing left or right to see the information “i” bubble for that show light up, then u know where ur remote locked in, but to be fair, they do tell u the remote isn’t compatible with netflix and recommend u to use the app, so for something that’s not compatible, still being able to maneuver around in it is good enough for me.
  • I’ve been showing the projector to friends and family and everybody has been super impressed and a couple people are even going to buy their own!
  • The fact that the cs was excellent, in their diligence, responsiveness and willingness to help is what causes me to leave the review score unchanged, despite the disappointing outcome.
  • * i know i said i’m happy with the brightness – but i feel like it could have been just a touch brighter.
  • However i would like to thank nebula support as they were extremely nice and were able to help me with my problems.
  • The software is great, nice remote, nice phone remote app.
  • However u can manually adjust both directions in settings, but it’s a bit of a hassle, and its still hard to get it to be the perfect rectangle, the horizontal setting maxed out at -40, so u should ideally place it in the middle of ur screen/wall, and let it do its vertical auto adjust.
  • They’ve been super responsive to questions about the product, and really helpful each time.
  • Image is also impressive, it’s very bright and resolution is good enough on a 100″ screen that kids really think they are on a movie theater.
  • Have not tested out the battery yet, so can’t say how long it would last, and it would also depends how loud the volume is, and if u have bluetooth connections up, but one good thing is, u can watch w.e u want while charging it, so that’s definitely a plus that i saw some other projectors didn’t have.
  • Can’t write enough good things about this unity, i plug a chromecast on its hdmi input and use it instead of the apps, but the apps are also great the android tv built in is responsive and fast enough to be used.
  • The autofocus and keystone correction work great and is super fast.

Top Negative Reviews

  • The room needs to be dark for decent viewing; ambient light produces washed out images – auto focus worked well; auto-keystone was ok, sometimes inconsistent – vertical adjustment only – although advertised as android 7.1, the app store was not google play store, but rather aptoide tv app store with very limited selection – ps vue app interface did not format appropriately, rendering the app very difficult to use – decent built in speaker – no built in ways to zoom/raise/lower the image – must physically move the projector i see that it’s heavily discounted now.
  • Update: after spending some time debugging the lag issues with anker/nebula, it was concluded that the substantial lag for bluetooth audio and even the noticeable lag for a/v sources coming in through the hdmi port was a normal limitation of the mars ii.
  • I purchased nebula september 19 after 3 months it stopped connecting to the internet, there was no support from nebula , they told me to request refund or replace although they are the same seller ,i’m really very disappointed with this product & stuck between the seller & the manufacturer
  • Perhaps most disappointing is that the projector will not play copyrighted material that is not hosted on netflix – think about that for a moment!
  • This gets less visible as you enlarge the projection but it is quite irritating if you are in a pitch black environment and is not sometime that i think should exist with a projector at this price point.
  • The app store is quite limited, and the preloaded netflix is terrible to use and youtube wouldn’t even open for me.
  • And honestly it resolves nearly all the complaints i had about the viewsonic, which are mainly that the builtin software is ridiculously bad.
  • The software is really bad.
  • What i was looking for: i hate televisions.
  • Yes… except the hdmi presents about a 1 to 2 second audio lag no matter the source.
  • This was very disappointing and i am in the process of debugging this with anker/nebula.
  • Rentals purchased through my youtube account cannot be played, e.g charlotte’s web (2006) put on for the kids last night was a flop – copyright issues being cited as the reason why not.
  • This is one hell of expensive projector, quality is ok and this thing is quite big ,not the best quality for the price but quite realible
  • The message i was given was to use an hdmi to connect the computer to the projector – but this seems ridiculous when there is a youtube app with my account info already to go in the projector.
